Psychological Services

HIV can bring about serious and unusual crises. With professional counseling, people living with HIV can learn to live a fuller, happier life while being treated for the virus. Services are provided at our Warren location. Call us for an appointment at: (313) 887-9104.

Psychological Counseling. Therapists area available to help people sort out issues and discuss concerns. Infected or affected persons can meet with a counselor individually, as a couple or as a family.

Group Counseling. Short-term groups offered through the Emotional Wellness Series help members broaden their self awareness, thereby reducing stress, increasing daily relaxation, and improving an overall sense of well-being. Support groups and on-going therapy groups are also available.

Professional Training. FRIENDS Alliance works with area universities as a field site to help prepare human service professionals for working with HIV+ people. FRIENDS also hosts workshops and trainings for counselors in the HIV field.
