A
Study
on
HIV
&
Exercise
A
student
at
Oakland
University
in
Rochester,
MI
enrolled
in
the
Exercise
Science
Masters
Program.
Ms.
Bridgette
Gierak
is
developing
a
research
study
that
some
of
your
clients
may
be
interested
in,
and
I
agreed
to
put
the
information
out
to
all
of
you
to
assess
interest.
The
research
will
study
the
Effects
of
Exercise,
on
the
Immunity
if
HIV
Positive
persons.
This
will
be
conducted
under
the
guidance
of
Oakland
University
and
Ms.Gierak's
advisor.
Here
are
some
of
the
details:
She
is
looking
to
have
approximately
60
participants:
30
active
participants
(or
participants
willing
to
implement
an
exercise
routine),
and
30
non-active
participants,
or
a
control
group.
The
more
the
better.
She
was
looking
to
work
mainly
through
e-mail.
So
no
physical
contact
would
be
necessary,
only
a
computer.
This
can
be
done
confidentially,
or
anonymously
where
participants
do
not
have
to
give
their
names.
If
this
sounds
like
something
you
believe
may
be
of
interest
to
your
clients,
Ms.
Gierak
will
be
able
to
present
to
any
groups
or
speak
with
individuals.
You
can
let
her
know
by
emailing
her
and
she
will
send
a
further
information
about
the
project.
I
am
aware
that
diet,
exercise
are
often
topics
discussed
in
support
groups
and
in
other
settings,
so
I
thought
this
may
be
of
some
interest
to
some
folks.
At
this
point,
she
is
just
getting
started,
and
not
all
of
the
details
are
complete,
HOWEVER,
assessing
interest
and
determining
if
she
will
be
able
to
gather
enough
participants
is
a
critical
part
of
the
process.
If
you
believe
this
is
something
you
may
want
to
know
more
about,
please
email
Ms.
Gierak
directly
at
oaklandthesis@gmail.com.
Please
do
not
respond
to
the
Listserv.

Twenty

for
Youth.
Proceeds
from
the
