Rainy Days and Mondays …

By Michael Green - Editor

Sometimes windy, sometimes wet but nothing stopped the Motor City Pride Celebration in Ferndale this past Sunday. It was a GREAT event held with many familiar and (some not so familiar) vendors hawking there goods to a generous crowd of revelers. The highlight of the day was the Grand Opening of AFFIRMATIONS new facility. With guidebooks in hand and many guides to lead you along the way, the very well planned tour was the culmination on many years of fundraising efforts put forth by a dedicated team of volunteers and staff  of Affirmations. The new facility is a beacon of hope as well as a bastion of peace for the GLBT community in Southeastern Michigan for many years to come. Congratulations on a truly amazing first look and a wish of great success in the future! If you have not yet seen the facilities go to www.goaffirmations.com for more information.
